FEDERAL STUDENT AID AT A GLANCE

STEPS TO APPLYING FOR FINANCIAL AID
1.Get a PIN. This is how you (and your parent) electronically sign your federal student aid application and loan documents.
2.File the FAFSA. That is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. This is a requirement for all student financial aid.
3. Use our school code on the FAFSA. It is 014128.
After you submit the signed FAFSA, your information will be processed and then sent to the financial aid office within about 3 days. If you are in the process of applying to California Christian College the financial aid office will process your forms and notify you of any further documentation required and your financial aid eligibility.
VERIFICATION
Some applications are selected for Verification. This requires submission of signed federal tax returns and other income documentation along with a Verification Worksheet.

The Financial Aid Office will notify you if you need to complete one of these forms and let you know the other required documentation.
STUDENT LOANS
There are 3 steps to complete to request a student loan.
1. Complete Entrance Loan Counseling
2. Sign a Master Promissory Note
3. Fill out a loan request with the financial aid office.
CAL GRANT
There are 2 steps to complete to apply for Cal Grant. The deadline is March 2, 2012 for the 2012-2013 school year.
1. File the FAFSA. That is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
2. Submit a verified GPA to the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC).
